HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We're wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with happiness, success, health, love and peace!

This year has passed by so damn fast, took away so many people we have loved and we might have lost a lot of time on our project because of unforeseen events and obstacles and also because we have worked with and put our faith in some wrong people and possible partners. But we're only indie filmmakers and not a big studio, and most of all we're just humans. Some of the interested parties who were interested in producing and financing our film turned out to be dubious people who are only interested in exploiting projects and people and taking over control of all rights, money and creative freedom. Thankfully we noticed that soon enough or got warned by other filmmakers and events that happened with indie projects so that we were able to step back soon enough before we signed any deals or contracts.

We also had to turn down some possible deals because some of the interested parties wanted to have significant changes and limitations on our project and vision, like shooting in Eastern Europe with a very low budget which might have been impossible or very costly for most of our role backers, or they wanted to replace actors or the director, or simply make it another low budget B-movie with cheap special effects and very limited gore and make up effects. But we want this to become a really good film for everyone and not another bad, low budget zombie flick or amateur production.

But all this has cost us a lot of time, work and money. Making a good film has become a very tough business and challenge and Hollywood is a big shark tank with lots of greedy people and crooks and you have to be very, very careful. It can quickly become a nightmare and you're selling your soul (and project) to the devil. But we have learned our lessons, and we have met and working now with new, good & trustworthy people and we will use the new year for a new start.

Be assured that we'll keep on working hard and do our best to move on as quickly as possible to make our project finally become reality and to get it filmed, produced and released in 2017, and make this something everyone will be happy and proud of. Nightmare City should become a high quality movie and an outstanding remake, and one of our big goals is that, looking back in 2018, our film should be named as one of the best horror films and remakes in 2017.

Furthermore, we now also have 3 other great projects in our pipeline (2 horror films and 1 TV series project), which already got the interest of some renowned studios and networks, so hopefully 2017 will be our year and become much better than 2016.

Let's entitle this new year as: "2017: A NEW HOPE" and may the force be with everyone!

Please keep standing behind us and keep on motivating, helping and supporting us with your loyalty and your positive energy, and have faith in our project and vision. This really means so much to us and keeps motivating and pushing us forward every day.

Blessings and all the best wishes for 2017,
Team Nightmare City

We also have a small, late Christmas present for those of you who haven't seen it yet in our secret backstage group - here are some first storyboard artworks for NIGHTMARE CITY from the planned opening scene (more exclusive material coming soon):
